With Bryan Gil hardly playing at Tottenham, it’s only natural to see the Spaniard linked with yet another move away from the London side in January.
The winger was sent to Valencia last season to get some football, which he did, and there was even talk of the player staying long-term, such was the impression he made, but that never happened.
Gil returned to Tottenham, and while many expected him to leave in the summer on another loan, he ended up remaining in London, which hasn’t quite worked out for him.
That’s why Sevilla, his former club, are keen to bring him back, but Spurs are the ones blocking matters for the time being, as they need squad depth and letting Gil go would hinder that.
This is why, in an article in Diario De Sevilla looking at Rayan Aït-Nouri and a potential move to Sevilla, it’s stated that ‘right now’, the La Liga club’s ‘priorities’ are to get a left-footed centre back, as well as Lucas Ocampos and Bryan Gil ‘if Tottenham find a replacement’ for the forward.
To date, the 21-year-old has made a measly two appearances in the Premier League this season, totalling 69 minutes of league football, with his other 68 minutes spread over five games in the Champions League and the EFL Cup.
