The Italian press continues to put Napoli head to head with Manchester United in the battle for the PSV star Hirving Lozano.
Earlier this week, when Calcio Mercato reported the Italian side’s negotiations for the player, they claimed the Red Devils are also following him ‘in a very concrete way’.
Now, as reported by Corriere del Mezzogiorno (via Gonfialarte and Arena Napoli), the Italian side have been sending scouts to follow Lozano playing both for his club and for his country.
At this point, the Napoli officials became aware of the interest from Manchester United.
The competition from the Red Devils would put Lozano’s price up, and even though Mino Raiola has a good relationship with Napoli, that may not be enough for the Serie A side to land the player.
Back to Calcio Mercato’s story, they claimed that Lozano would cost €40-45m, but Napoli are working to get a discount of €10m.
