Fulham have finally signed a striker, hurrah!

Aboubakar Kamara joins from Amiens after a successful Fulham chase, as part of the club’s seemingly never ending search for Championship goals.

The London club have been keen on Kamara since the January transfer window, when, after an overly ambitious but still impressive move for Sergi Enrich, Fulham turned their attention to the Amiens man.

It was deadline day, and whilst there was confidence in France that a deal could be done, and Kamara spend the second half of the season at Fulham, it didn’t work out that way.

Amiens coach Christophe Pelissier is impressed by the €7m transfer fee, and is quoted by L’Equipe as saying: “This is an extraordinary amount for a club like ours.”

Pelissier believes that despite Kamara moving to Fulham, Amiens can have a good season as long as the striker is replaced well enough, he also wants a fullback signing from the Fulham funds.
