Turkish newspaper Fotomac claim Besiktas are closing in on signing Newcastle United right-back DeAndre Yedlin.
After losing out on their primary target, Nazım Sangare from Fenerbahce, it’s reported the Black Eagles have returned for Yedlin, and they want to complete a deal as soon as possible.
Fotomac say Yedlin is looking to leave Newcastle United because of a lack of games and it’s claimed MLS side Seattle Sounders are another club who interested in signing the player.
The Turkish side are reportedly looking to sign the defender on a free transfer, and they are waiting for him to terminate his contract with the Premier League side.
Besiktas have Yedlin’s international teammate Tyler Boyd at their disposal, and it’s reported this could be a factor in his decision.
The 27-year-old joined Newcastle United in 2016 from Tottenham Hotspur and has gone on to make 116 appearances for the Magpies.
Yedlin’s contract at St. James’ Park will expire at the end of June 2021.
