Bournemouth are reportedly one of the clubs in the race for Brazilian youngster Andrey Santos.
This information is today shared by Goal Brasil, who claims the Cherries are one of those who have been recently chasing the youngster.
Andrey Santos has been standing out in Vasco da Gama’s Serie B campaign this season, with the interest from European clubs being revealed in the past week.
And it turns out that while Goal speaks about an offer from Newcastle United for the player, they point out that Bournemouth recently made an attempt to sign him as well.
It’s claimed that Vasco ‘received offers’ from the Cherries and French side Lyon. They both were rejected, just as the Magpies’ bid is expected to be as well.
The youngster has just signed a new contract with the Brazilian club and is now protected by a €50m release clause.
Newcastle’s offer is believed to be of €35m, so we can already get a picture of how much the Rio de Janeiro side will demand for the transfer.
For now, there’s no information on whether Bournemouth are interested in making a new bid.
