Ever since the January transfer window finished, there has been a belief that Everton are very interested in Gabriel Magalhães.
The Lille defender would be a good fit at a club who are lacking first-team depth at the role, but it was revealed by Le10 Sport back towards the end of February that Leicester City had also joined the race.
While Everton allegedly made a move for the player during the January transfer window, Brendan Rodgers’ side had yet to do anything of the sort, but they now have.
The same outlet claim on Monday that Lille ‘have received an offer’ from both the Toffees and Leicester for the 22-year-old, but make it clear there has been no agreement from the Ligue 1 side’s end, contrary to reports from England suggesting Carlo Ancelotti and co. had got a deal sorted.
Paris Saint-Germain also remain on the case, and have let LOSC know about their interest as they feel he has the ability to make their team and are fans of his versatility.
There’s still many twists and turns in this one, and we must also not forget Arsenal, who were also one of the teams looking at Gabriel a couple of months ago.
