Fiorentina are ‘ready to return to the charge’ for Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso after trying for him in January.
That’s according to Corriere Dello Sport, who say they would need to bring down Tottenham’s €20m asking price.
The newspaper explains that Lo Celso is on the sales list at Tottenham this summer, and Fiorentina are one of his suitors.
They were already interested in the midfielder in January when a hypothetical swap deal with Sofyan Amrabat was on the cards but failed.
The Italian side are now ready to return to the charge, but only when the player’s price tag is reduced from the €20m Spurs are asking for.
That figure means that Fiorentina won’t ‘attempt a lunge’ at this moment in time as the figure is ‘not feasible’.
They could, though, make their move at some point this summer, with Tottenham keen to move the Argentine on and Fiorentina considering him as the ‘final icing’ on the cake.
