With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang having nine goals and one assist in his first 12 games for Barcelona, it’s no surprise that the Catalan side are happy with the January deal they pulled off after the player walked away from Arsenal.
The La Liga giants managed to sign the striker for free, and with his quick success at the club, it seems they are looking to pull off a similar deal in the summer window.
According to Fichajes, Barcelona are one of the clubs who are most interested in signing Alexandre Lacazette, whose contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the season.
The outlet writes it’s likely that the striker will leave the Gunners for free this summer, and could finally have the chance of proving himself in Spain. So Barça could repeat the successful ‘formula’.
Barcelona’s interest in Lacazette is said to have the approval from manager Xavi Hernandez, who according to Fichajes, has given the ‘green light’ to the operation.
Now for the Camp Nou side to make the operation, they must wait for the Frenchman to complete his departure from Arsenal.
