Fanatik claim Galatasaray have now turned their attention to Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi after failing to secure the signature of their primary targets.

Sampdoria’s Jeison Murillo was reportedly the Turkish club’s first choice but he’s joined Celta Vigo, whilst they couldn’t make any progress with AS Roma’s Mert Cetin.

Following these developments, Fanatik report Galatasaray will now try their luck with the Arsenal player and will open talks with the North London club. Gala are looking to loan the former Germany international until the end of the season.

Mustafi is looking to kickstart his career after a disappointing season with the Gunners, and Fanatik say he’s willing to switch clubs in this transfer window.

The former Valencia man has yet to start a game under new manager Mikel Arleta and it seems he will need to move away from the Emirates to get first team football elsewhere.

His contract with Arsenal will expire at the end of June 2021.
