As clubs continue to line up to get a chance of signing Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani for free this summer, we see another side joining the list today.
It’s outlet Gazzetta dello Sport who features a big piece on Fiorentina’s summer plans, and among them, there’s the arrival of the Uruguayan star.
It’s pointed out that despite Cavani’s wish of returning to South America, La Viola could end up offering him a ‘final showcase’ in Serie A, following his successful times at Palermo and Napoli.
Fiorentina, however, now wait patiently before moving, as the striker’s entourage are expected to evaluate all possible options until he leaves Manchester United at the end of his contract this summer.
Despite the many links we’ve seen between Cavani and South American clubs this year, this possibility seems to be losing strength lately, with many sides giving up on the chase.
Earlier this week, Uruguayan journalist Sebas Giovanelli claimed Cavani would like to move to Spain so he could be closer to his older children, who live in Italy.
So a Serie A move would probably make sense for the Manchester United forward as well.
