Since Sofyan Amrabat started shining in the World Cup, Tottenham Hotspur got mentioned as one of the main contenders to sign him from Fiorentina.
Antonio Conte’s side had already been linked to the player in January this year, and his performances for Morocco apparently only drew more interest from Spurs.
As outlet Firenze Viola writes about the midfielder’s situation today, they point out Fiorentina are set to make a big effort to hold the player.
It’s first once again claimed, relaying Il Tirreno in another article, that Tottenham, Liverpool, and Atletico Madrid are all following Amrabat, but then it’s made clear that La Viola are set to ‘block’ him from leaving.
Fiorentina are said to be preparing a renewal offer to hold him at least until the summer, even though they know they can make between €30m and €40m with his sale, that’s not an idea for January.
So despite Tottenham’s idea to bring him to London after the World Cup, it seems they may have to wait to make that new effort, or make a very good bid that convinces Fiorentina to change all their plans.
