Among the players Chelsea are trying to get rid of, there is Christian Pulisic, who has a couple of admirers on the European market.
AC Milan are one of them, and Corriere dello Sport explain that is the USA international’s favoured destination amid other interest from Lyon.
There has been talk of an offer from the Ligue 1 side for the Chelsea outcast, but it’s stated they currently ‘cannot afford the expenses’, as they are under close scrutiny from the DNCG, the league’s financial body.
Not only that, but they also have no European football to offer, and ‘can hardly convince’ the Blues man to move for them.
AC Milan, down their end, will be playing in the Champions League, and have already reached a ‘general agreement’ with Pulisic, who ‘hopes to be able to land in Italy as soon as possible’.
A first offer of €15m was made to Chelsea, which isn’t enough, as the Premier League side would want €25m, but ‘in the coming days’, the Serie A side ‘could raise their offer’ in order to convince the Stamford Bridge residents to let their player go.
Not only that, but they would also use the American’s desire to join them to their advantage in the negotiations.
