After becoming frustrated in their attempts to sign Stoke City midfielder Giannelli Imbula, Galatasaray have switched their attention to Juventus’ Mario Lemina, report Fanatik.
The Turkish newspaper have claimed Galatasaray are set to offer €8m for Lemina, but they are currently facing competition from Arsenal.
This week we covered reports from Turkey that Galatasaray are still hopeful of signing Stoke City’s Imbula before the window closes. The Turkish giants were looking to come to an agreement over a loan deal with Stoke City, but it seems the Premier League side’s incidence on a permanent transfer has resulted in Galatasaray looking at other alternatives.
Subsequently Galatasaray are now hoping to sign Juventus midfielder Lemina before the Europa League qualifiers, but Arsenal’s recent interest has complicated things.
This now put doubts over Imbula’s future, who could be looking to leave Stoke City this summer. The Frenchman looks surplus to requirements under Mark Hughes, and the player has also been linked with Nice in recent weeks.
Galatasaray are going to have a shock when they find out a possible Juventus fee for Lemina, because €8m wouldn’t even be considered as a downpayment.
