Leicester City’s Dennis Praet is currently on a season-long loan deal at Torino, and they have an option to make his stay permanent for €15m.
The Serie A side are keen to retain the midfielder, but by not paying €15m to the Foxes.
They instead want to extend his loan deal for one more season with a redemption clause set at €10m instead of €15m. The Turin club have so far failed to convince Leicester City over another loan deal.
That’s according to Area Napoli, who add the Italian club are ‘having problems finding an agreement’ with Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Leicester plan to raise funds from the 28-year-old’s sale this summer and the player also ‘wants to stay’ in Italy.
Napoli have now taken note of Praet’s situation and ‘could test the ground’ if Torino and Leicester fail to find an agreement.
Luciano Spalletti has rated Praet ‘for years’ and ‘would appreciate his versatility’. Therefore, the coach would ‘not disdain’ from including in the player in his squad. It’s to be noted Praet is not the only midfielder currently monitored by the Naples club.
