Juventus are getting rather tired of Emre Can.
The Turin club thought they had a deal for the German all tied up, but his refusal to actually sign a contract and have the move announced has created irritation and worry.
If Juventus end up convincing themselves the Liverpool midfielder is playing a game, keeping them on hold whilst waiting to see what other offers before the summer, then it’s likely they’ll move on to other options.
Juve won’t think Can is doing them a favour signing for them, quite the opposite.
Don Balon on Saturday say Zinedine Zidane has asked Florentino Perez to get the Liverpool player for Real Madrid. On that mission, Perez is going to fly to England to convince Can personally on a move.
Whilst Don Balon aren’t reliable, the idea of Real Madrid fawning over him is what Can seems to want. If he wasn’t at the end of his Liverpool contract, and therefore free, it’s unlikely Juventus, Real Madrid or the other clubs linked would be particularly keen.
But Can knows he holds the cards, and is clearly willing to drag everyone along.
Turin newspaper Tuttosport say on Saturday that, as it stands, Juventus still plan to sign the midfielder, but are aware of increasing competition.
