Manchester United and Santos have lately been linked to each other by two different stories.
One is about Andreas Pereira, with the Red Devils’ midfielder constantly saying he loves the Brazilian club and would even ‘cry’ if he gets to play for them one day.
The other one is about Yefferson Soteldo, who plans to move the other way. Even though the 22-year-old has never been linked to Manchester United, he keeps saying he dreams of signing for the club.
That could perhaps be the ingredients for a deal between the two clubs, so outlet Gazeta Esportiva contacted the Santos president José Carlos Peres to talk about it.
Peres has revealed that he’s even spoken to Andreas Pereira, but claims that the signing would be too expensive for the Brazilian side for now.
“I have Andreas Pereira on Whatsapp and I’ve been talking to him, he makes a lot at Manchester United. He will certainly wear the club’s shirt one day,” Peres told Gazeta Esportiva.
Even though Gazeta Esportiva’s headline mentions Soteldo’s transfer, saying the Santos president is ‘seeing’ what the player has been saying, there are no quotes from the official about the Venezuelan star.
