Sevilla want to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Fábio Silva in the summer window, according to Estadio Deportivo.
The striker has been on their agenda since Monchi was Sevilla’s director. His successor, Victor Orta, has tried to sign the Wolves owned player on two different occasions.
Last summer, Orta opted for Kelechi Iheanacho instead of the 22-year-old, mainly for financial reasons as the Nigerian was a free agent. Wolves let Silva join UD Las Palmas on loan in the same window.
The striker has scored seven goals and registered two assists from 18 La Liga games for Las Palmas this season. His form helped him make his debut for Portugal in November.
It also seems to have convinced the Andalusian club to look at Silva for the next window. Estadio’s title says Sevilla are ‘once again interested in signing’ the Wolves frontman and have made contact to ask about a move.
The Spanish club tried to sign the Portugal international on several occasions in the past and are now keeping an eye on him for the summer. They are expecting competition after the player’s ‘revaluation’ at Las Palmas this season.
Silva’s contract at Molineux expires in 2026, meaning the next window will be Wolves’ last big chance to cash in from his sale.
Sevilla are well known for offering poor transfer deals and what they put on the table will obviously decide whether Wolves accept or not.
