Leeds United loaned Rasmus Kristensen to Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer window in a deal that would be potentially be worth €15m for the Championship club.
The 27-year-old had been on loan at AS Roma in the previous season, after Leeds United’s relegation to the Championship. He had a mixed time in Rome, at periods being outright mocked by the local media and then making himself somewhat important.
Eintracht Frankfurt has been a whole different experience for him. He’s been repeatedly praised by the German media and those in coaching roles at the Bundesliga club.
However, there’s been a longstanding insistence that Eintracht Frankfurt wouldn’t pay that €15m, and that they intended to pay much, much less.
Now, Sky Deutschland’s Florian Pletternberg reports Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed a deal with Leeds United for just €6m.
That €6m can rise to €8m depending on bonuses, but it doesn’t look a great deal for the Championship club.
According to the source, it will take a few weeks for this deal to become official.
