Following all the claims from Italy saying Inter Milan would have no financial conditions to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, it was obvious that the Nerazzurri would soon show up with a low offer to try to get a deal done.
According to claims from journalist Fabrizio Biasin, the clubs are now ‘officially negotiating’ a loan for the 29-year-old.
It’s said Chelsea are asking for €10m to let Lukaku move on a temporary spell. Inter Milan, meanwhile, offer only €5m.
Even though the numbers seem far from each other, Biasin still calls it a ‘good start’ for the negotiations.
This week, several reports from Italy have been claiming Lukaku’s future could soon be sorted out, as there’s serious heavy work from him and his agents going on to facilitate his return to Inter Milan.
Just on Tuesday, however, it had been reported by Corriere Dello Sport that Chelsea first demanded €25m for the loan, then dropped to €20m. Those are figures very far from these reported now, so either the Blues are giving up quickly on making so much money with the exit, or some of the claims aren’t correct.
