According to Greek newspaper SportDay, as covered by Sdna, Olympiacos have been offered the chance to sign Southampton right-back Cedric Soares, presumably by agents.
The 29 year old is currently on loan at Arsenal but has yet to play for Mikel Arteta’s side due to injury, and then the Covid-19 crisis.
It’s reported the Greek giants are interested in the Southampton player, who’s been linked with a move to Fenerbahce and Galatasaray in the past week.
Reports in the Turkish press at that time said Fener could replace the departed Mauricio Isla with Cedric, whilst their local rivals Galatasaray were also briefly linked with a move for the Portugal international.
Olympiacos have yet to extend Omar Elabdellaoui’s contract and subsequently there are growing concerns in Greece that he could join Galatasaray on a free transfer.
If the Norwegian player leaves Olympiacos, then the Greek side could replace him with the Southampton man, who too will become a free agent at the end of the season.
