Earlier this month, we covered a story from FC Inter News regarding the future of Victor Moses.
The situation is fairly simple in that the wing-back/winger is on loan from Chelsea at the Serie A side until the end of the season, who have a €12m clause in the deal to make the move permanent.
However, it was revealed by the website that Inter felt that price was ‘too high’ for a player whose contract runs out next summer, and other options were being considered.
Gazzetta dello Sport go one step further on Tuesday, explaining the Italians ‘do not want to pay €12m to Chelsea’, and without a renewal of the loan, it’s ‘possible that the story is interrupted at the end of this season’.
This would be a shame for the Nigeria international, who was enjoying himself under Antonio Conte at Inter after a frustrating spell at Fenerbahçe, and there will have been hope at Stamford Bridge of making a pretty penny from a player not currently in Frank Lampard’s plans.
Unfortunately, it seems either a new amount will have to be negotiated, or the 29-year-old will probably have to find himself a new club in the summer away from the San Siro.
