Celtic youngster Rocco Vata is again being linked with a move to Italy.
In the past few months, a few Serie A sides have been said to be interested, and since his contract with Celtic is expiring this summer, this could be an opportunity to snatch the free transfer.
According to a fresh report from Citta Celeste, it’s now Lazio who are keen on signing Vata from Celtic.
The Italian club are said to be planning a ‘revolution’ in the squad by targeting several players who are becoming free agents this summer.
Vata is one of those who Lazio ‘have moved’ for, and now they’re waiting for a response. There’s no rush, as the replies are only expected between the end of April and the beginning of May.
The striker is still 18-years-of-age and could perhaps be attracted by a career plan that Lazio can offer him. What he surely wants to make sure doesn’t happen is leaving a chance of football at Celtic for an obscure loan away from Lazio with the chance of disappearing.
His family and agents will need to make sure any interest from other clubs involves a structured progression and not just a side signing him on the off chance it works out.
