Sampdoria have two missions in London in the next few days: one is to play their friendlies against Premier League clubs, and the other is to sign pedro Obiang from West Ham United.

But it hasn’t been easy for the Italian side to get the midfielder, and that’s what newspaper Tuttosport explains today.

They say that West Ham have been demanding €12m for Obiang, while Sampdoria don’t want to pay more than €9m or €10m.

So even though the player’s wish is to return to Italy, the €2m difference keeps blocking the deal, with no quick solution presented by either of the clubs so far.

Tuttosport sound pretty confident that a deal can still be found, though. They write that it’s unlikely Obiang can meet the Sampdoria squad in the preseason tour, making it look like he could join the team after that.

But for the transfer to happen, one of the clubs will have to budge.

This comes after repeat Italian claims that West Ham keep putting the price up.
