As Aston Villa striker Wesley Moraes continues being chased by Brazilian clubs, he’s now set to speak to one of them today.
According to UOL, the player is having a Tuesday chat with São Paulo manager Rogério Ceni, who’ll tell the 25-year-old about the plans he has for him at the club.
It’s said the Tricolor have already made an offer to sign Wesley from Aston Villa. They want a free loan, with the Premier League side continuing to pay a part of his salary.
The report claims that the negotiations ‘advanced in the past few days’, but there are still a few stages to be sorted before the deal can be considered closed.
Wesley is seen as a ‘market opportunity’ for São Paulo, especially because he’s interested in moving to Brazil in January.
Following a knee injury, the striker is currently having a loan spell at Club Brugge, where he isn’t getting many minutes. Now terminating his spell at the Belgian side and returning to his home country is seen as a chance for him to ‘fully recover’, and Aston Villa will hope it can lead to a transfer fee somewhere down the line.
