Sabah claim Trabzonspor have finally managed to convince Sunderland over a loan move and now they are very close to completing a deal for Papy Djilobodji.
Earlier this week we covered reports from Turkey that the 29 year old is an option for the Super Lig club and it now seems Trabzonspor are on course to complete the deal.
According to Sabah, contacts with Sunderland were made a week ago, but initially the League One club wasn’t keen on a loan deal
However, with Djilobodji wanting the move to Turkey, Sabah say Trabzonspor have managed to convince Sunderland over a loan and the player is expected to arrive in Turkey on Monday to complete the deal.
It’s reported there’s a slight problem in the payment structure, but the player is still expected to sign for Trabzonspor.
Djilobodji still has two years left on his Sunderland contract and last season he was sent on loan to French side Dijon.
