Real Betis have got big plans for a replacement if they sell Giovani Lo Celso to Tottenham this summer.
For over a month the Argentine has been repeatedly linked with a move to Spurs, with claims of meetings and offers for the player.
At times it’s felt like Betis are much keener on a sale than they’re prepared to say, dangling the prospect of a €75m fee out there almost like putting out a sandwich board.
Friday’s edition of Marca explains Betis have already got to work on the replacement, ready for a potential sale to Spurs.
And they’re not being unambitious. Lyon’s Nabil Fekir is the man in mind.
The France international almost moved to Liverpool last summer but saw the transfer fail, with various accusations made afterwards about the reasons.
Betis have already sent a delegation to France to speak to those who represent Fekir, although it’s pointed out that nothing can be done until Lo Celso moves to Tottenham or elsewhere.
