Lazio’s interest in signing André Ayew from Swansea City is indeed being taken seriously by the Italian media this week.
On Tuesday, we covered a report from newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport saying the player ’emerged as an option’ for the Serie A side ‘in the past few hours’.
Now on Wednesday, the outlet is back at covering the chase, this time saying Ayew could actually be an exception for Lazio’s summer plans.
They say the club are not signing any new players in this transfer window, and the only thing that could change their mind would be exactly the chance of getting the Swansea player. It’s called a ‘last minute opportunity’.
Once again, Gazzetta Dello Sport doesn’t say how much would Lazio have to spend on the 29-year-old, so we’re all a little bit in the dark for now.
With Ayew being an expensive player for a Championship side, perhaps Swansea City could make good use of his sale.
But his start of the season has been pretty good for the Welsh side, since he has two goals and two assists in four appearances. So that’s a tough decision to be made.
