Milliyet claim Galatasaray are making progress to sign Everton forward Oumar Niasse after talks with the Premier League club.
The Turkish club sold their top scorer Bafetimbi Gomis to Al Hilal this week for a deal reported to be in the region of €6m, and they are looking to use this money to sign a new forward.
Niasse is said to be an option for Galatasaray as previously reported in Turkey, along with Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck. However, Milliyet say the Senegalese striker currently tops their shortlist.
Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim reportedly wants to work with Niasse and Milliyet also claim Everton will ‘happily’ let him leave, which may be questionable.
It’s claimed initial talks with regards to Niasse were positive and that he would be the cheaper option for the Istanbul club, considering their other targets.
The Turkish champions needs to act quickly if they want to complete a deal for the Everton player as the Super Lig transfer window will close on the 31st of August.
