Turkish newspaper Fotomac claim Besiktas have started their effort to sign Angel Gomes, who left Manchester United at the end of June.
Gomes recently departed Old Trafford after failing to agree on a new deal and he’s now free to speak with other clubs.
It’s reported former Manchester United winger Nani, who also had a spell in Turkey with Fenerbahce, has offered Gomes to Besiktas and the Turkish side could make an offer for the player.
However, Fotomac claim the likes of Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are all interested in signing Gomes.
Besiktas’ board believe they can offer Gomes first-team football straightaway, unlike Chelsea and Dortmund, who would be looking to use Gomes in the reserve teams.
Chelsea have added to their attack already for next season, meaning Gomes would find it difficult getting games.
On top of that, Frank Lampard distanced himself from interest in the player when quizzed recently.
Any move for Gomes will depend on Adem Ljajic’s future and Fotomac claim if the Serbian leaves, then Besiktas could sign the player.
