Diogo Dalot hasn’t played a minute of Serie A football since joining AC Milan on loan in the last window. Despite that, the Manchester United owned player has taken part in the Europa League, and had a big impact on Thursday evening.
Having already played the full match against Celtic last week, Dalot started again against Sparta Praha, and was one of the best players on the pitch as Milan won 2-0, with the 21-year-old scoring a goal and adding an assist.
He played at left-back this week, having been at right-back against the Scottish Premiership club. Gazzetta dello Sport have taken a look at the situation, and note that Dalot arrived at the San Siro on a dry loan, meaning there’s no buying option for the Rossoneri.
Manchester United instead agreed they could negotiate a potential transfer in the future, should all parties be willing. However, as Gazzetta point out, the better Dalot does, the more Milan will want to keep him and the more his parent club will value him.
Nevertheless, the Italian newspaper makes clear Milan could make a move, depending on what happens in the coming months.
