After Christian Luyindama picked up a serious knee injury during the recent international break, Galatasaray have entered the market for a central defender and are interested in signing Huddersfield Town’s Terence Kongolo, claim Fotomac.
Luyindama suffered an ACL rupture playing for DR Congo and it looks like he’ll only return to action next season. Subsequently the Super Lig champions are looking to bring in a replacement during the next transfer window.
One of the main candidates to replace the DR Congo international is Kongolo, and Fotomac report the Turkish giants will make a move for him in the near future.
The Former Feyenoord defender, who can also play as a left back, is said to be looking for a new team, and Fotomac report Galatasaray are monitoring the situation.
It’s claimed the Huddersfield Town player wants to play in a higher division and Gala could provide him with that opportunity, along with European football.
Kongolo has made 10 appearances for Danny Cowley’s side this season and is under contract with the Championship club until June 2022.
