Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku is now quite close to joining AS Roma, according to the latest reports.
Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna writes on Twitter that the player already said yes to a move to the Giallorossi.
It’s claimed the clubs have an agreement on the salary he’ll have at Roma, but they are still negotiating the fee that will be paid to Chelsea for the temporary move.
Aouna adds that a Giallorossi delegation is travelling to London today to reach a ‘total agreement’ with the Blues for the transfer.
The information is getting some back up from the Italian media, who add interesting details on how things have been handled by the Serie A side.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Roma should be paying €10m for the loan, and will also cover a big part of his salaries.
At Gazzetta Dello Sport, it’s said it’s the Serie A side’s owner Dan Friedkin who got in touch with Todd Boehly to speak about the transfer.
Meanwhile, José Mourinho called Lukaku to get the green light, and that was apparently enough to make the negotiations move forward.
