Earlier today, we covered a couple of reports from the Spanish media which said Valencia are hopeful of signing Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil on a loan move.
Both of those stories claimed the Mestalla side were not the only trying to bring the 20-year-old back to La Liga, and now it turns out there’s indeed another club working on the transfer of the Spurs winger.
According to Cadena Ser, Real Sociedad made contact with Tottenham to ask about the possibility of signing Gil on a loan deal until the end of the season.
It’s said the Txuri-Urdin are not the best placed club in the race, given Valencia’s competition, but they want at least know the conditions of a deal.
It’s claimed that Real Sociedad had been interested in signing Gil since his time at Sevilla, but weren’t able to compete when Tottenham offered €25m for his signing last summer.
Now as the player only had 756 minutes on the pitch for Spurs so far, with only 86 of them being in the Premier League, the La Liga side are trying to make old wish of theirs come true, at least on a temporary basis.
