Greek website Sdna.Gr report Olympicaos have made contact with Islam Slimani’s representatives ahead of the summer.
It’s reported the Greek club are looking to bring in an established striker during the next transfer window and former Panathinaikos striker Markus Berg remains an option, along with the Leicester City player.
However, Sdna.Gr say despite Slimani’s agent being open to getting his client a move to Olympiacos they could be priced out of a deal with the Foxes.
According to Sdna.Gr the Algerian striker would cost Olympiacos more than €3m for a season long loan move.
The Algerian striker has in recent weeks been left out by Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal and will return to Leicester City at the end of the season. The have been reports he’s training with the Istanbul club’s reserves.
Slimani has only scored one league goal whilst on loan Fenerbahce this season and he is under contract with Leicester City until June 2021.
In Portugal they believe a return to Sporting is a possibility.
