Trabzon based newspaper Taka report Trabzonspor are considering activating Caleb Ekuban’s redemption clause.
The 24 year old was loaned from Leeds United and the Turkish club have the option to buy him permanently for €1m.
Taka report the Trabzonspor coaching staff are pleased with Ekuban’s performances this season and may be tempted to make the deal permanent.
After a slow start in the Super Lig, Ekuban has found some form in recent weeks, with the Leeds United player scoring two goals in as many games. The Ghanaian is said to be enjoying life in Trabzon and he too is looking to extend his stay in Turkey.
Fotomac report Ekuban could remain with Trazbonspor beyond this season and that his agent will be paid €225k if the deal is made permanent next summer.
The striker joined Leeds United from Chievo just under 18 months ago but struggled in his debut season in England.
It always seemed likely he would be loaned out when Marcelo Bielsa arrived in the summer and the player got his move at the back end of the Turkish transfer window.
