Fanatik claim Trabzonspor are still interested in signing Sunderland defender Papy Djilobodji and the Turkish club are hoping to confirm the defender’s signing before the Super Lig transfer deadline next week.
The Super Lig club have been linked with the player in recent weeks, and things now need to get moving.
According to Fanatik, Trabzonspor have agreed personal terms with Djilobodji and are trying to convince Sunderland over the transfer.
It’s claimed the former Chelsea defender wants to leave Sunderland as he doesn’t want to play in the League One this season.
Sunderland are reportedly looking to sell Djilobodji permanently but Trabzonspor are hoping they will be able to convince the Black Cats over a loan move.
Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu and his board have been in constant contact with Sunderland officials and Fanatik expects the move to be officially announced soon.
Djilobodji still has two years left on his Sunderland contract and last season he was sent on loan to French side Dijon.
