Fotospor claim Besiktas could target Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen during the next transfer window. The Turkish side have yet to fill the void left by Cenk Tosun after he joined Everton in the last window.
The Turkish newspaper say Tottenham are offering Janssen to various clubs, including Besiktas, and the Premier League side are looking for a fee in the region of €12m.
Janssen hasn’t featured for Fenerbahce since December, but it’s looking likely he will return in the coming weeks.
Besiktas have been unable to replace Tosun since his move to Everton and subsequently the Turkish giants will be in the market to sign a striker. Fotospor say Tottenham’s Janssen fits the criteria for what Besiktas are hoping to bring in.
It’s likely Janssen will leave Tottenham in the summer after failing to make an impact in his debut season in England.
The Dutchman was loaned out to Fernerbahce last September to get more playing time, and it seems he isn’t in the long plans of Mauricio Pochettino.
Whilst Tottenham offering Janssen to other clubs makes sense, €12m seems a little low. Not based on his actual performances, but rather on it being Tottenham.
The club would surely want to get more back for the Dutchman, before likely accepting a lower fee in the end.
