Fotospor report Trabzonspor have identified Huddersfield Town’s Steve Mounie as a possible replacement for Crystal Palace’s Alexander Sörloth, who’s currently on loan at the Super Lig club.
Sörloth has been in fantastic form for Trabzonspor and scored his 29th goal of the season against Galatasaray at the weekend. However, there’s speculation the Crystal Palace owned player could leave the club at the end of the season.
According to Fotospor, Trabzonspor officials are already planning what to do if Sörloth leaves, and they’ve reportedly identified Mounie as a target.
Huddersfield Town’s striker has been linked with moves to Turkish clubs in the past, with claims Fenerbahce and Besiktas were interested.
It’s reported the Championship side are keen to sell the 25 year old, and Trabzonspor are currently following his situation after the Turkish club’s manager Huseyin Cimsir gave the green light to sign the player.
Mounie has made 25 appearances for the Terriers in the league this season, scoring eight goals. His contract with the club will expire at the end of next season.
