Juventus right-back João Cancelo is now pretty likely to move to Manchester City this summer, according to the Italian media.
Newspaper Tuttosport reports that the Premier League champions have made a €60m bid for the player, and that should be enough to take him.
Juventus are yet to respond for one simple reason, and that’s because they’re still waiting for a new manager to arrive.
They club are set to listen to the new boss’ opinion on the matter, but even if he does try and keep Cancelo around, it would be a surprise for the Old Lady to turn down the reported amount.
Juventus paid €40m to sign João Cancelo last summer, and although a replacement for him won’t be cheap, Manchester City’s offer is considered to be ‘practically indispensable’ for the Old Lady.
Although a battle with Manchester United had been much mentioned in the Italian press for the past couple of months, the Red Devils don’t even get named in this story.
