AS Roma are keen to sell Cengiz Ünder to the Premier League, and Everton are now being repeatedly linked.
The attacker has struggled for Roma this season, with just one goal in seven appearances so far for the Serie A side.
His lack of form has seen him fall down the pecking order at the club and they are now open to a sale, having resisted it heavily in the past.
Recent reports have suggested that sporting director Gianluca Petrachi is looking to sell the Turkey international to the Premier League and Il Messagero back up those claims.
They report that Roma see a transfer as ‘essential’, and are trying to get between €35-40m in any deal.
Everton are one of the interested parties, and Roma are not ruling out the possibility of using Ünder to get themselves Moise Kean, who they’ve been linked to for the best part of two months.
Whether Everton would be willing to pay that asking price isn’t mentioned, just that they are interested in Ünder at this time.
The suggestion that Kean may be part of the deal feels wide of the mark, though. While the Italian has not had the best of times at Everton thus far, he’s seen an upturn since Ancelotti’s arrival.
Indeed, Ancelotti has made it clear he’s a big fan of the striker, and Kean has expressed his excitement at working under the Blues new boss as well.
That alone would indicate neither are keen on him departing this month, and any potential deal for Ünder is more likely to be done without Kean as a part of it than vice versa.
