Manchester United’s Tahith Chong has spent the previous two seasons on loan at Werder Bremen, Club Brugge and Birmingham City.

The winger struggled with an injury during his temporary spell with the Championship side and finished the 2021/22 campaign with just two goals and four assists from 21 matches.

Chong has now returned to United and is currently part of the Red Devils’ squad that started pre-season training under the new manager, Erik ten Hag, earlier this week.

The 22-year-old has 12 months left on his contract at Old Trafford, and Feyenoord, his former youth club, have included the Dutchman’s in their target list for this summer.

That’s according to 1908.nl, who explain talks with the attacker over a potential move could take place soon.

However, amid the reports linking him with a move away, a source told Sport Witness that Chong’s immediate focus is to train under the ex-Ajax manager.

At the moment, it is unclear whether Chong will be included in Ten Hag’s plans at United for the 2022/23 season, but he has pre-season to convince him.
