There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are ready to make a ‘surprise move’ for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Mario Lemina.
The Gabon international has experienced difficulties with the Premier League side in recent weeks, especially under former manager Gary O’Neil.
Fanatik today report on the future of the Wolves player following recent reports he could be heading to Saudi Arbia in this transfer window. It was recently claimed he would be joining up with Al Shabab and that a €4m transfer fee had been agreed.
However, it’s now reported his former club Galatasaray have joined the race to sign Lemina as they look to bring in a central midfielder in this window.
Due to an injury to summer signing Gabriel Sara, Galatasaray are keen to sign a player in this position, who can also provide back up to Lucas Torreia.
There are no reports if the Super Lig champions are looking to come in with an offer, but they may need to react now with the interest from Saudi Arabia.
Lemina has made 18 appearances for Wolves this season, scoring one goal. He’s contracted to the Premier League side until the summer, but they have the option to extend for another season.
