Earlier on Wednesday, we covered a report in Italy about Milan’s interest in Japhet Tanganga.

It came from Gazzetta dello Sport, who reported that Tottenham were happy to let him go as long as they got their money guaranteed, meaning a loan with a mandatory option to buy.

If not, Spurs would be happy to keep him around as an option for their squad, knowing full well they had a busy season ahead.

However, since the start of this whole saga, we’ve never been given any figures about the potential deal Milan could put together; something Corriere dello Sport give us on Wednesday.

They reiterate that a meeting between the Italians and the Tottenham player’s agent is expected very soon, with the Serie A side’s chiefs aiming ‘to find an agreement’, which they can then present to Spurs themselves in hope of convincing them of a deal.

The belief is that the loan itself ‘shouldn’t cost more than a couple of million euros, while for the final purchase of Tanganga, the investment would not go beyond €15m’.

That suggests a €17m or so package for the defender, which we’ll have to wait and see whether is enough to convince Tottenham to let their defender go.
