Last week a Napoli director came out and poured cold water over the idea of Hirving Lozano leaving the club this summer.
It was explained that the Mexican has plenty of time to prove himself and will come good for Napoli eventually.
However, the Italian media simply aren’t buying it.
Corriere dello Sport it’s ‘very difficult’ to imagine Lozano continuing at the Serie A club beyond the next market, and the concentration is now on getting the biggest fee they can for him.
Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia are three clubs from Spain interested, yet it’s stated none of those want to spend much more than €20m, given how Lozano has struggled at Napoli.
That leaves Napoli hoping for more from Everton, with it being known Carlo Ancelotti and Marcel Brands are fans of the player.
Allan is also thrown into the mix, but there’s no estimate of what a double deal may cost the Toffees should they move for both players.
It would certainly be a signal of intent from Everton, and if Ancelotti is confident he can get the best out of the pair in the Premier League then the club would surely be minded to back him.
