Takvim report Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal has made Fulham’s Stefan Johansen his first choice option before this week’s transfer deadline.
The Turkish club are looking to bring in two midfielders and they’ve been closely linked with a move for Johansen in recent weeks.
According to Takvim, Fenerbahce are working hard to sign the player as talks with Fulham continue.
Reports at the weekend suggested Fulham’s option to extend Johansen’s contract by another season is proving to be an issue because the Super Lig club doesn’t want to pay a transfer fee to sign the player.
Fenerbahce have also been linked with a move for Brazilian midfielder Raphael Veiga but Takvim say Yanal would prefer to sign Johansen.
It’s claimed the Yellow Canaries will make another attempt to sign the Fulham player before the transfer deadline and are hopeful of getting a deal done with the Premier League club.
The midfielder has made 12 Premier League appearances for the London club in this campaign.
