Turkish newspaper Takvim report Fenerbahce have held talks with Aston Villa attacker Trezeguet over a possible move this summer.
It’s reported the Yellow Canaries are looking to loan the player with an option to buy and they’ve promised Trezeguet they will match his current wages.
Takvim claim Trezeguet’s agent William D’Avila has told Fenerbahce’s board his client will leave Aston Villa if they don’t remain in the Premier League for next season.
The only issue is said to be the redemption clause as it’s thought Villa want to set this figure at €8m, but Fener are looking to drop it to €6m.
The 25 year old joined Dean Smith’s side from Turkish side Kasimpasa at the start of the season for €9m and he’s been previously linked with a return to Turkey with the likes of Besiktas and Galatasaray.
Trezeguet has made 31 appearances for Villa in all competitions this season, scoring four goals. His contract will expire at the end of June 2023.
