Fenerbahçe have held ‘positive’ talks with Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke as they eye the Belgian as part of a double signing this summer.
That’s according to Takvim, who say the club are determined to add to their forward line as their current options have disappointed this season.
That’s led them to look at strikers who will be available in the next transfer window, and Benteke is one of them with his contract at Crystal Palace coming to an end and no sign of a renewal as yet.
They’ve already held talks about a move, with it reported at the end of last month that Fenerbahçe had been in talks with Benteke’s agent.
Takvim now pick up on that and describe those talks as ‘positive’, which would suggest a move is very much a possibility at this moment in time.
That is all they offer on that front, although they do make it clear Benteke is being eyed alongside fellow free agent Moussa Marega, who is looking likely to leave Porto.
Fortunately for the Crystal Palace man, the Turkish side want both him and the Mali international, who will be his partner next season if things go to plan.
