Nurturing Armando Broja from 2009 onwards, you would expect Chelsea to want to use him more often than not.
However, despite a successful loan at Southampton last season, he has only appeared 11 times for a grand total of 236 minutes this campaign, scoring the one goal.
The departures of Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku were meant to open doors for him at Chelsea, but the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang quickly shut that, leaving the Albania international with little room to work with.
That could, of course, change throughout the course of the season, but there’s no denying the 21-year-old, who recently renewed until 2028, will have wanted more so far, and could end up trying to look for it elsewhere.
That’s where Milan come in, who were recently said to be in contact with his entourage, as Calciomercato explain the player ‘would not rule out a transfer’ to the Serie A side.
In fact, there ‘have been several contacts’ between Federic Massara and the entourage of the Chelsea player, and the Italians have ‘also talked about him’ with the Blues, who ‘consider him a €35m forward’.
While no active talks for a transfer have taken place, it’s clear Milan ‘have laid the foundations’, just in case the door opens up for them in the future.
