According to Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, Club Brugge striker Abdoulay Diaby has been on the radar of West Brom, Leganes and Levante.
There’s also another English club said to be interested, although the name isn’t released by HLN today.
Diaby has one year left on his contract with his current employer, which puts some pressure on Club Brugge. The report claims he has already expressed his desire to leave Brugge in the summer transfer window, and that adds to the pressure.
The Belgian club are open to the idea of allowing their attacker to go, but not just for any price.
Brugge, who are already well into their preseason, want the ‘right price’ for their player and will then send him on his way. Perhaps frustratingly for West Brom, there’s no figure shared and it doesn’t seem Diaby has a fixed asking price.
Despite reports elsewhere claiming offers, HLN don’t report such.
He’s currently being kept out of friendlies.
