Turkish newspaper Fotomac report Lazio are leading the race ahead of Tottenham Hotspur to sign Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi.
The Kosovo international is expected to leave the Super Lig club following a excellent debut season, and Fotomac say Tottenham and Lazio are seriously interested in signing the 26 year old.
Spurs have been linked with the player for several months following reports they watched him a number of times last season.
Newly promoted West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City have also been linked with a move for the player in recent weeks.
It’s now reported Lazio are favourites to sign Muriqi after offering €18m to Fenerbahce.
However, the Yellow Canaries president Ali Koc will not sell Muriqi for below €20m, and both clubs are likely to hold another meeting in the coming days.
Fenerbahce need to sell some of their players because of their poor financial situation and Muriqi’s could ease this.
He scored 17 goals in all competitions for Fenerbahce last season and is under contract at the club until June 2023.
